Barrow County, Georgia Settles Case, Takes Down Ten Commandments Display
July 19, 2005
John Doe v. Barrow County, Ga.

We regret to inform you that the Barrow County Board of Commissioners has agreed to take down the Ten Commandments display in their county courthouse building that had caused a federal suit to be filed by the ACLU on behalf of an anonymous plaintiff.  Because we believed that the Ten Commandments display was a constitutional acknowledgment of God, the Foundation for Moral Law had been assisting Barrow County's legal team in this fight since the suit was filed and we had been preparing for trial, scheduled to begin July 21, 2005.

We encourage every government body, from local leaders to legislatures to judges, to stand for the Ten Commandments and other acknowledgments of God.  If you know of any government officials or groups that need assistance in these important battles, please contact the Foundation for Moral Law at info@morallaw.org or call us at (334) 262-1245.
