Judge Roy Moore and Foundation for Moral Law Join Fight to Oppose Same-Sex Marriage
January 23, 2006
Judge Roy Moore, Chairman of the Foundation for Moral Law, has been named Honorary Chairman of the Alabama Coalition Against Same Sex Marriage. In states around the country, the people are overwhelmingly approving constitutional amendments that reaffirm that marriage is and always has been between one man and one woman. In November of 2004, voters in Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Utah all approved marriage amendments by double-digit margins.
It is time for Alabama to do the same. Judge Moore and the Foundation hope to defend marriage – as God ordained it – here in Alabama , including against activist judges that may try to overturn any pro-marriage initiatives.
