Judge Roy Moore and Foundation for Moral Law Delegates to Participate in Values Voter Presidential Debate on Constitution Day

September 13, 2007

Former Chief Justice Roy Moore and the Foundation for Moral Law will be joining dozens of pro-family and pro-faith groups on Monday, September 17, 2007, to ask questions about compelling moral issues to presidential candidates at the Values Voter Presidential Debate in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Judge Moore will be specifically asking the candidates about their commitment to protecting the acknowledgment of God in our land, while delegates from the Foundation for Moral Law will consider the candidates’ answers to many questions as they vote in a Values Voter straw poll.

According to Judge Moore, “This is an excellent opportunity to find out where candidates for President stand on important moral and constitutional issues of our day. Politicians often avoid those issues which really matter to voters. The Values Voter Presidential Debate will separate the moral wheat from the political chaff.”

The Values Voter Presidential Debate will be held at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Ft. Lauderdale on “Constitution Day,” September 17th—the anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution. See Judge Moore’s column this week at WorldNetDaily.com, U.S. Constitution: A secular document?, for his explanation of the moral foundation of America’s Constitution—and why those aspiring to the Presidency must demonstrate the moral character and discernment worthy of that eminent position.

The Foundation for Moral Law, a national non-profit legal organization, is located in Montgomery, Alabama, and is dedicated to restoring the knowledge of God in law and government through two methods: litigation relating to moral issues and religious liberty cases; and education consisting of forums for the public and pastors' seminars.
