Our hearts are heavy, and I know many of you are feeling the same. What happened to Charlie Kirk on September 10, 2025, has shocked our nation to its core. Charlie was a husband. A father. A leader. Above all, he was a man of faith — a Christian who refused to stay silent despite the risk.
Charlie understood the cost of speaking truth in a culture increasingly hostile to it. He often warned that those who openly live the Gospel will face opposition — even hatred. Sadly, he paid the ultimate price. His life was taken in what authorities are calling a political assassination, right here in America.
Even now, amid the grief, God is moving. Amid the darkness, we see flickers of His light.
On August 27, 2025, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in favor of Valerie Kloosterman, a Christian physician assistant in Michigan who was fired over her refusal to affirm transgender procedures or pronouns — because of her faith. She was mocked, demeaned, and ultimately lost her job — but she refused to deny her convictions. The court recognized her right to practice her faith even when it clashes with prevailing cultural demands.
Valerie’s story is a reminder: God is not done. He is still moving. He is still vindicating truth. And He honors those who stand firm, even when the cost is high.
But make no mistake — the battle is far from over. The same forces that mocked Valerie, the same hostility that murdered Charlie, continue to assault Christian freedom in many forms:
Believers are losing their jobs for living according to their faith.
Churches and pastors are under pressure to compromise.
The Gospel being silenced — or made dangerous — in public spaces.
We must press forward. We must be loud. We must be faithful. Not out of anger, but out of a resolve grounded in Christ’s love and truth.
Pray. For Charlie’s family. For peace. For the Church in America to rise in integrity and courage.
Defend religious freedom. Support legal efforts, legislation, and organizations committed to protecting our rights.
Speak truth. In kindness. In clarity. In love. Don’t shrink when culture demands silence.
Stand together. In solidarity with others who are suffering, who are persecuted, who are in need. Faith is never meant to be lived alone.
Charlie would have wanted this. He would have wanted us to not merely mourn — but to stand upright, to keep fighting for faith, family, freedom, and truth.
May we honor his life by doing just that.
With hope amidst sorrow,
The Foundation For Moral Law
