Misjudging Miss California

“She lost not because she doesn’t believe in gay marriage. Miss California lost because she is a dumb [expletive].”

This was the charming reaction from Miss USA judge and open homosexual Perez Hilton after Carrie Prejean, a Christian college student at San Diego Christian College, dared to say she believed “that a marriage should be between a man and a woman” in response to a question put to her by Hilton at the Miss USA competition.

Miss California’s politically incorrect answer probably cost her the Miss USA crown (http://www NULL.foxnews NULL.com/story/0,2933,517215,00 NULL.html). Since the competition, Hilton, a sophomoric Hollywood gossipmonger, has led a shrieking chorus of liberal celebrities and even other Miss USA contestants in personally attacking Prejean for, ironically, expressing the opinion of the majority of the people of California.

Behold the new foaming-mouthed face of homosexual “tolerance.”  Far from scaring her out of the spotlight or into a cowardly apology, however, Prejean remained unmoved from her beliefs and even announced her intent to fight for traditional marriage (http://www NULL.foxnews NULL.com/politics/2009/04/30/beauty-queen-launches-campaign-gay-marriage/).

But perhaps more intolerable are judicial decisions like the unelected Iowa Supreme Court justices recently handed down (http://www NULL.desmoinesregister NULL.com/article/20090403/NEWS/90403010) ordering the State of Iowa to begin sanctioning same-sex unions with the label of “marriage.”  While Prejean may have lost a crown, the radical same-sex “marriage” activists have gained another state—and once again without the consent of the people.

Judge Moore addresses both of these misjudgments in his column this week, Miss California was right (http://http://www NULL.wnd NULL.com/index NULL.php?pageId=96409), on WorldNetDaily.com.

She has unwittingly become the poster child for bigots, so most are inferring the bigotry about her. True or not, you are judged by the company you keep.

  2. Chuck Saffell says:

Why are people defending her? She lost because of her jumbled answer to the question where she actually said “opposite marriage” to describe marriage between men and women. Her bigotry had nothing to do with her losing the title.
If it wasn’t for judges making decisions that went against the people and instead with the constitution, the south would still have seperate water fountains for balcks and whites. Bigots like you Ben would probably see that as a good thing though.

  3. Lisa Hamilton says:

David, I never thought she had the wits to intend to do anything. She’s just a bigot. In this case beauty is the bigot in the beast.

Miss California became Miss America without the judges vote. She is getting more publicity than the actual Miss America. Good for her!! She is getting more attention and more notority than any of the contestants. This outspoken homosexual did her a favor. He tried to hurt her because of her moral beliefs-but its backfiring. She’s been on the news, talk shows, why she will probably make more money because of her standing up for what is normal and right. America stands for perfection and excellence. The Bible says don’t turn to the right or the left. She obeyed the Word of God. She didn’t turn her beliefs to the right or the left to win a beauty pagent–she went straight foward and stood for excellence and perfection. There is nothing more perfect than a marriage between a man and a woman. Homosexuality is not a perfect or more excellent union when it comes to marriage or the joining together to make children to replenish the earth. Our Constitution and our Bill of rights has nothing to do with our sexual desires. Homosexuality is all about sexual desires and pleasures–it is not about a more perfect or excellent union for our country called America. America stands for excellence and perfection and Miss California’s quick responce to the question was the most excellent and perfect answer of them all. She will be remembered. They might have stripped her of her crown–beat her with their words–pierced her side until she just wanted to die inside–but guess what? She WILL rise again because JESUS lives inside of her! AMEN and AMEN

Great comments, ideas and questions discussed relevant to politics, economy and, to top it off, beauty contest. This was my first exposure to the website and I really enjoyed it. Cousin of Ben Bruso

Change last name of cousin to read Ben DuPre’

  8. Robert Rupard says:

I have a daughter her age and would be so proud of her as a parent. As usual, liberals revert to shrill name-calling when the real vote can’t be rigged anymore. God bless this lady for her stand on the values that she was raised in. She believes in a man and a woman for marriage. So did the voters of the sometimes great State of California, and it was reaffirmed by The Supreme Court.

Take that Mr. Hilton and the rest of you hedonists.

  9. Edward S. Isaacs (http://www NULL.edwardisaacs NULL.com) says:

People have been hypnotized into believing that wrong is right and right is now wrong. When someone like Miss Prejean, and I don’t even know the young lady, speaks her mind about her own personal opinions, she is quickly labeled as a bigot by individuals who have no clue as to what a real bigot is.
